We
had 3 days of relaxing with some great racing thrown in. The
Go to Woe Hilldrags sponsored by All Four x Four Parts, held
on Friday, were a test not only of horsepower but braking
ability of car & driver. Leila driving the twin turbo Pajero
won the modified class and was the outright winner of the
event. Rob came 5th in modified class in his Pajero and
Clayton came 1st in standard class in his Triton. Just to
get the feel of each others vehicles, Rob & Clayton swapped
cars, resulting in Clayton coming 3rd in modified class &
Rob coming 2nd in standard class.
Saturday
& Sunday was the running of the Super Rally Cross.
which is fast & furious. Two
vehicles line up, side by side on a track that crosses over
and includes a huge jump
that can give serious air
but can also cause major damage if you get too keen. Its a
great track to race on. Rob held the fastest time after
Saturdays heats until Clayton did his final heat in Robs
Pajero. After the last heat on Sunday, Rob was placed 2nd,
Clayton 4th and Leila 7th in the top 10 in modified class.
After the final 2 laps of the top
10, Clayton came 2nd & Rob placed 4th in modified class.
Driving the Triton, Clayton
placed 1st &
Rob placed 2nd in standard class
in the final rounds.
Alben & Helen Perret of LCMP
hosted an awesome weekend with some great prize money given
away as well.
